Getting To Poros
Most international airlines and many charter flights fly to Athens Airport.
Athens Airport to Piraeus
From the Airport, you need to travel to Piraeus, Athens main port. Choice of transport is as detailed below:-
By Local Bus - take the X96 which you pick up right outside the airport from arrivals, Exit Gate 5. This bus goes all the way to Piraeus through Athens (limited stops), average travel time 90 minutes. Price Guide €3.50 per person.
Metro - at the airport the metro is clearly signed once through arrival gates. Take Metro line 3 to Monastiraki. At Monastiraki change to Metro line 1 which goes all the way through to Piraeus. Price Guide €6.50 per person.
Taxi - taxi rank is situated just outside the arrivals/exit gates and will cost €40 approximately to Piraeus.
Piraeus to Poros
At Piraeus go to Gate E8 where there is the Hellenic Seaways Ticket office for the Flying Dolphin, Catamaran or slow ferry to Poros:
Flying Dolphin/Catamaran - €25.50 approximately per person and takes 1hr.
Ferry - €12.50 approximately per person and takes 2.5 hrs.
