Sailing Areas
Detailed below are samples of the sailing itinerary’s of the North route in the Saronic Gulf and South route in the Argolic Gulf.
One week holiday will cover one route, while a two week holiday will cover both Saronic and Argolic Gulfs.
Routes can be adjusted to accommodate levels of experience and sailing abilities.
North Route - Saronic Gulf

Perdika situated south west on Aegina, a small colourful fishing village with plenty of tavernas and cafes to choose from. The village was occupied by the Germans in World War 2, gun emplacements and fortifications still remain and are only a small walk away around the bay.
Vathi on the west coast of Methana peninsula. An idyllic tiny traditional fishing harbour with the opportunity to sample the freshly caught seafood.
Epidavros this harbour is surrounded by verdant citrus orchards. A small amphitheatre is situated a short walk away from the harbour. Take a taxi (15 minutes approximately) to see the impressive ancient amphitheatre where live shows are still performed in the summer months, not to be missed.
Aegina a bustling port that is still typically Greek where the fruit and vegetables are still bought and sold from the caiques(traditional fishing boats). There are plenty of shops to browse, cafes and restaurants which offer excellent seafood menus.
South Route - Argolic Gulf

Ermioni is situated on a peninsula with mooring facilities on the north or south quayside. The peninsula has a park area which is covered in pine trees which offers a lovely walk and scenery. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and an extensive supermarket and shops for provisions. Water taxis provide a regular service to the island of Hydra.
Porto Heli is large sheltered bay. From here a visit to the island of Spetses is possible via water taxis.
Navplion was the first capital of Greece before Athens after independence was declared. The old town of Navplion is a mixture of Venetian, neo-classical buildings. The fortress of Palamidhi dominates the skyline as it is situated at the top of the steep barren hillside with fantastic views over the surrounding area. Stroll through the narrow streets which are draped in bougainvillea and consist of a variety of shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants that surround the old town venetian square.
Navplion offers all visitors a choice to visit the museums and explore Greece’s historical past or just relax in one of the many cafes and soak up the atmosphere.
Astros is a sheltered harbour and is clean enough to swim in. There is a castle within a short walk away. A small modern amphitheatre is situated at the end of the quayside. A good choice of tavernas serving traditional food and wine.
Plaka is the harbour to Leonidhion town. Both are nestled in the valley of an imposing mountain range. The breakwater separates the harbour from the beach giving a choice of places to swim. It is a short taxi ride to Leonidhion to enjoy this unspoilt town.
